Membership with the Harwood Fire Company begins with a written application and a short interview. Once these items are completed your application will come before the general membership for a vote. When the membership approves your application you will be brought in as a probationary member. You will remain in this capacity for a period of one year while you attend training, department drills, emergency incidents, meetings and other departmental functions.
TRAINING
Throughout your career as a volunteer firefighter, training will be your foundation. You will be encouraged to attend both in-house and outside training classes. The skills you learn will become yours and will last a lifetime. Remember this training may not only save the lives of others, but may also save yours.

The commitment you make as a volunteer firefighter is not only to the Company but also the community we serve. This commitment is something that not only you, but also your family must agree on.
